Grand Cypress Resort is a Resort, 45 hole golf facility located in Orlando, Florida.
Grand Cypress Resort is comprised of 1,500 acres in Orlando, Florida. In January of 1984, the 9-hole North and South courses opened along with the 750-room Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress.
Two years later, in 1986, the 9-hole East Course opened along with The Villas of Grand Cypress' 146 rooms.
To complete their 45 holes of golf, the 18-hole "New Course" opened to resort guests in 1988. Like the North, South and East courses, the "New Course" was designed by Jack Nicklaus.
The original North-South combination is marked by sharply ledged fairways, tall shaggy mounds, and plateau greens perched above water or sand, is a demanding, target-style test. The more wooded East Nine is more generous, with less bunkering (particularly in front of the greens) allowing for more run-up shots.
Within these 27 holes, the Jack Nicklaus Signature-designed North, South, and East Nines provide three distinctly unique 18-hole combinations. For the full round of 18, courses can be combined as the North-South, South-East, or East-North Course. Each combination provides a distinct playing experience.
The courses closed in late 2019.
It has been reported that at some unknown date in the future, the 27 hole course will be replaced by a new 18-hole layout.

This is not cheap, but is worth every penney. Greens were fast and smooth, Played in just over 4 hours and it was very busy. Facilities were very nice and the staff was professional and very accomidating. I am planning an outing with my golf buddies in the near future and we will stay and play both courses. Can't wait !!!!
